Apex in Maco, Compostela Valley, Southern Mindanao has been operating for over 40 years. Its commercial operations started in 2009 after three years of rehabilitation and development. It is a Philippine registered corporation that is principally engaged in the business of mining gold, silver, copper, lead and other previous metals.

Apex has been listed on the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) since February 26, 1970. Mapula Creek Gold Corporation and Mindanao Gold Limited together hold majority of the stock capital and manage the mine.
